NUMERACY - Number Sense Routines: Building Understanding Every Day

Number Sense is foundational in K-5 Numeracy, as it underpins all the other strands.

Number Sense is best developed daily over time, not in stand-alone units. This 2 hour workshop will provide teachers with routines ranging from early years through intermediate level that are easy to incorporate into your math classes effectively, building number sense confidence and automaticity.

Please bring a copy of of "Number Sense Routines: Building Mathematical Understanding Every Day in Grades K-3 or 3-5" by Jessica Shumway - which you will need to order using your Pro-D Book Funds through the STA Munro's Pro-D Book Catalogue.

I recommend the K-3 book for teachers through grade 3, and the 3-5 version for Intermediate teachers.
